Honoring Michael Taylor: A Celebration of Life Through Music and Light

Join us on August 20th as we gather to celebrate the radiant spirit of a cherished star, Michael Taylor, who graced our lives with his effervescent presence. Through a heartwarming musical tribute, we will honor the memory of Michael, our co-founder, and friend, who left an indelible mark on us all.

Michael’s love for music and his vibrant spirit illuminated our world. As we come together, we invite you to wear brightly colored clothing and bring musical instruments, embodying the joyful essence that defined Michael’s being.

The event will commence with a serene crystal bowl meditation at 9:30, setting the tone for the festivities that follow. At around 10:15, a traditional Manito Park ecstatic dance will captivate us, driven by the rhythms of electronic music that Michael held close to his heart. The melodies will continue for approximately two hours, enveloping us in the joy he brought to our lives. While the conclusion of the musical journey is uncertain, the experience promises to be both moving and enchanting.

As the music fades, we will gather in a circle to share cherished memories of Michael. This space will serve as a heartfelt tribute, allowing us to reminisce and honor the radiant spirit that continues to shine brightly within us.

Whether you were fortunate enough to know Michael personally or are joining us for the first time, your presence is warmly welcomed. Michael, alongside Joshua, led the Manito Park ecstatic dance, a tradition they began in 2020. While this event was initially meant to coincide with Michael’s visit to Spokane, his spirit will undoubtedly be present as we come together to celebrate his remarkable journey. Let us join hands, uplifted by the music and memories, as we celebrate the life of Michael Taylor – a soul who continues to inspire us all.

With love and gratitude,

The Manito Park Ecstatic Dance Team
